This job reports to the Director of Pharmacy

This is a Full-Time position, working 1st Shift.

Overview
EXAMPLES OF WORK:
Coordinates the work of the Pharmacy Technicians.
Checks the prescriptions prepared by Pharmacy Technicians and completes the labeling.
Compounds and dispenses medicine and preparations according to prescriptions written by medical doctors.
Counsels patients and answers questions regarding their medication.
Interacts with medical and nursing staff regarding medications.




Job Skills/Requirements
Bachelors degree in Pharmacy.

Pharmacy Hours:
Monday 9 AM until 9 PM;
Tuesday - Friday 9 AM until 5 PM;
and Saturday 8:30 AM until 12:30 PM

Verification of education and license must be provided at time of application. Must be licensed to practice Pharmacy in the State of Kentucky. In order to be placed on the eligibility list for employment consideration, verification of education and license must be provided.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Stands for lengthy periods of time.
Moves up to 30 lbs. of packaged pharmaceuticals.
Stands on a step stool to stock high shelves.
