This job reports to the Lead Telecommunicator, Supervisor, or Commander

Relocation is not provided and travel is required occasionally.

This is a Full-Time position, working 1st Shift, 2nd Shift, 3rd Shift, Weekends.

Overview
The City of Owensboro will accept applications for a lateral transfer position any time during the year. However, this does not mean that we currently have a vacancy. The City is under no obligation to hire if we have a current vacancy, or to process applicants.

Job Skills/Requirements
Applicants must have completed the applicable DOCJT training for certification as a telecommunicator, currently be LINK/NCIC certified (for the State of Kentucky), and must have three consecutive and current years full time telecommunicator experience.

Pay Dependent on Years Experience as 9-1-1 Telecommunicator.
