Work involves assessing problem situations and exercising tact and judgment in bringing about resolution. Performance is evaluated based upon results achieved. Most positions require night shift work, holidays, and weekends.
Activities Include:
Patrol industrial and commercial premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized individuals, or unusual occurrences.
Ensure compliance with all company regulations and post orders.
Visually and physically patrols buildings, building grounds, and parking lots to observe unusual behavior and to deter and prevent vandalism, theft and safety hazards.
Communicate via telephone and two-way radio.
Work cooperatively and courteously with clients, employees and visitors.
Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
Patrol industrial and commercial premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
Use CCTV and other forms of video monitoring
Minimum Standards:
Must be at least 21 years of age
Be a U.S. Citizen or have the right work in the United States
Must pass a pre-employment investigation
Must have a stable work history
Must disclose all criminal convictions and any criminal charges currently pending in the court system.
Must own a reliable vehicle, with proof of insurance, to get to and from work.
Posses a Valid Arizona Drivers License (out of state License is permitted for active military and students excluded)
Must have a telephone with voicemail capability.
Must have a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
Must be able to communicate well, both verbally and in writing.
Must be physically able to conduct foot patrols over uneven terrain and up and down stairways for extended periods.
Must be able to pass a drug screen test.
Must be able to pass the Arizona Department of Public Safetys background investigation in order to obtain the state-required security guard license.
Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
Must be capable of evaluating, investigating and reporting all types of security incidents.
Are required to wear a professional uniform and maintain professional grooming standards.
Must pass a ninety (90) day evaluation period.
Must be able to withstand inclement weather, extended periods of walking and/or standing, reporting incidents to law enforcement agencies, and assist with fire fighting.
May not actively be employed by any other Security Agency.
Must be able to move quickly in response to emergency situations.
Must be able to bend, lift up to 45 lbs. and carry the weight of up to 20 feet.
